Our boarding facilities are fully equipped to handle dogs of all shapes and sizes. We encourage you to bring your pup to our location for daycare prior to an overnight or extended stay. We recommend at least one day of daycare prior to your dog’s overnight stay – three days of daycare is ideal – to allow your pup to get used to the facility and have a better overall experience. Your dog will become comfortable with our staff, and learn that you will be coming back to bring them home. It will also give our staff an opportunity to learn your pup’s personality and play preferences.
How much does it cost to start a doggie daycare?
Valid through 3/31/20 in US/PR/Canada with Treats™ membership. Eligible personnel include state & local first responders who are active, retired or volunteer, including: Firefighters, Emergency Medical Technicians (EMT) & Emergency Medical Services (EMS) & Law enforcement including State Troopers, Sheriffs, Sheriff's Deputies & Local Police. Not eligible: Federal-level law enforcement personnel (e.g., Border Patrol Agents, CIA, DEA, FEMA, FBI, NSA, etc.). Must provide validation of First Responder status to receive discount. Only one discount per stay.
My name is Linda and my daughters name is Christine. Together we are a team together. We have two dogs, 5 yr old Shar Pei mix and a 9 month old Blue Nose American Staffordshire Terrier. We have a two step meet & greet process, First is in a neutral area where all parties can meet, then if all goes well (and we have no doubt it will) we will then schedule another meet or simply have you us follow to our house. MENTAL HEALTH! As important as physical well-being, mental health is something that many dogs lack due to an unfulfilling lifestyle at home. Many families now have two income households, leaving the family pet at home for countless hours without attention. Dogs become bored, depressed, and experience the same emotions that people do. Feeling neglected can lead a dog to lose trust in its owner, or lash out.
We use home-style crates during naptime (12 to 2 p.m.) because it gives the dogs a safe place to rest in, allows them to have some “me” time and allows the staff to safely dispense individual food for dogs who eat lunch and/or medication to each dog if applicable. Similar to children in a daycare, dogs tend to easily adapt to the naptime routine as it’s at the same time each day and all their friends are enjoying the, often much-needed, down time as well! During naptime, the staff also thoroughly cleans each playroom to ensure the room is safe and clean before another exciting round of afternoon play!

Socialization: Dogs must be safely socialized with other dogs in order to grow into well-rounded canine citizens. The best place to do that is at doggie daycare. Although dog parks can be a fun outlet for both you and your pup, it’s hard to predict what types of dogs will be there, if they will be aggressive, if they will listen to their owners, if their play is safe and appropriate or even if they are vaccinated and healthy. At Dogtopia, we pre-screen and evaluate every dog before they are approved for open play and assign playrooms based on size and temperament. Although dogs can get sick just like at a child’s daycare, we also have a strict cleaning protocol called the Pet-Safe Cleaning Program that reduces the transmission of illness. Additionally, our playrooms are monitored by high caliber staff that is extensively trained in pack management and canine communication. KETCH was established in 1995 IN Tampa, we offer doggy daycare, boarding & training. Located in Citrus Park area on 10 acres. Close to the city and in the country setting. Owners live on property. 32 Cameras are on owners phone and wired to the house. Trainers are highly educated in dog behavior and are hands on the entire business. Your dog will be in the best hands.
Dogtopia is a very active environment, with the dogs interacting for several hours per day. Even if your dog did not run all day, simply being awake can make them very, very tired. At home, most dogs sleep the day away getting 18 or more hours of sleep. Although we have a two-hour nap, and the dogs sleep approximately eight hours per night, they will be tired. Please let them rest. We do not recommend that you take them to the dog park or any other social environment for at least a few days.Do dogs like being in kennels?
