At Dogtopia, we’re a unique breed. We love and care for your pup like they are our own. We realize that your dog is a furry member of your family and they deserve the highest level of quality care. We will provide progress reports through report cards and conversations with you as a caring pet parent. Dogs boarding with us will enjoy a staycation, burn off any excess energy during a full day of play with our daycare dogs. Dogs are separated into supervised playrooms depending on size, play style and temperament, ensuring the comfort and safety of all our guests. They’ll enjoy 8-10 hours of open play that features brain games designed to improve manners and behavior. There will also be plenty of time for naps and breaks, should they require them. If your dog is having lunch, he/she will be fed at the start of naptime and will have plenty of time to digest their food before they are allowed to play again. This private time is also when we administer any medications, if applicable.
Exercise: Consistent physical exercise is important to the growth and happiness of your pup – of course, there’s a whole lot of health benefits, too! Dog obesity is a serious health concern, as it increases the risk for osteoarthritis, diabetes, high blood pressure, heart disease, kidney disease, cancers, ligament injuries and decreased life expectancy (up to 2.5 years). Plenty of playtime enhances dog health and longevity, leaving furry children happy and relaxed. I began our company because of my love and connection with all animals from reptiles to giant breed dogs and everything in between! We are licensed, bonded and insured as well as members of Pet Sitters International. I am certified in animal first aid and have worked in a veterinary ER. So your you can feel comfortable that your Pawsitively Purrfect Pet is in good hands.
Dogs don’t think about inside vs. outside the way people do. They view the world around them through smell, sight and sound in a different way. Their nose will be full of new scents to explore as they meet their new BFFFs. They will see many wagging tails and hear excited yips and words of praise for playing excitedly! Because the sights, smells and sounds of our indoor playrooms are different from what they experience at home, you don’t have to worry about it impacting your house training. After 15 years in the business, we can confidently say that open play at Dogtopia does not translate to dogs going potty in the house.
Education: At Dogtopia, dogs don’t just play; they learn. We coach all dogs on every visit to ensure they live up to their full potential. They learn how to behave in social situations and be more comfortable around new dogs and new people. Our certified Canine Coaches provide quality care through 8-10 hours of open play with brain games to improve behavior and manners, and keep dogs engaged. Every Canine Coach is educated on canine body language, managing dogs in open play, special considerations of dogs in the playroom, preventing scuffles and much, much more!
Dogs need proof of Distemper, Parvo and Bordetella (kennel cough) annually and Rabies every 1-3 years. Puppies must be 10 days past their final round of distemper/parvo vaccination before kennels will accept them for boarding. Vaccinations need to be given no less than 7 days prior to boarding. If this is the dog's first Bordetella vaccination, it must be given 2 weeks prior to boarding.
In order to give each pet individual attention, we've chosen to keep Plantation Pet Resort dog boarding kennel small and exclusive, avoiding the chaos of large kennels. This way we can offer your pet the quiet, yet fun atmosphere he deserves as opposed to a large kennel with many runs and the mayhem, and health risks, which result when you try to house large numbers of dogs in a confined space.
We’ve created a loving place with dogs’ wants and needs in mind. We offer everything your furry family member requires with award-winning dog daycare, overnight, weekend and holiday boarding, and spa services. Use our webcams to watch them play all day with their BFFFs (best furry friends forever) in open and safe environments. Can my dog fly with me?
Our safe and fun playrooms are designed to encourage exercise and comfort. You won’t see any chain link fences at our facilities. Instead, we separate our playrooms with walls to prevent the spread of airborne contagions and reduce noise. This also provides a relaxing environment for our dogs since the sight of other dogs between rooms may lead to barrier frustration.

Dogs like to play like dogs! They will run, chase, be chased, grab each others’ necks, fall down, bark, trip, pull on each others’ ears and tumble around. To pet parents, this play could look worrisome, but this is standard dog play! The Canine Coach in the playroom will monitor your pup to make sure they are safe and having fun playing with the other dogs in the room. If at any point your dog gets scared or overwhelmed, our staff will intervene.
Our Oviedo pet resort houses your pet in an air conditioned and heated suite that is 4'X 6'. At the back of that is a door operated by a cable that allows your pet access to a spacious adjoining shaded outside run that is 4'X12'. At the end of this second outside run is a chain link gate that opens into a very large, fenced & grassy play area. This is where your dog has all the fun!

As Dogtopians, we’re a unique breed. Our team of dog care professionals provide quality care in a safe and supervised environment. Team members must complete rigorous training on dog body language and behavior. Our playroom attendants aren’t just watchdogs; they’re called Canine Coaches for a reason! Dogtopia Canine Coaches go through an extensive four-part training process. The custom curriculum, designed by a registered canine behaviorist, has been independently recognized by both the International Association of Animal Behavior Consultants (IAABC) and the Certification Council for Professional Dog Trainers (CCPDT).
Dogtopia is a very active environment, with the dogs interacting for several hours per day. Even if your dog did not run all day, simply being awake can make them very, very tired. At home, most dogs sleep the day away getting 18 or more hours of sleep. Although we have a two-hour nap, and the dogs sleep approximately eight hours per night, they will be tired. Please let them rest. We do not recommend that you take them to the dog park or any other social environment for at least a few days.
