Many families now have two income households, leaving the family pet at home for countless hours without attention. Dogs become bored, depressed, and experience the same emotions that people do. Feeling neglected can lead a dog to lose trust in its owner, or lash out.
A good kennel or boarding facility should walk your dog several times a day — anywhere from two to five — and should also build in time for play or socialization. Some kennels offer free play with other animals in a common yard, while some keep dog play one-on-one with staff, for example playing fetch or in the pool, to avoid any conflicts. After an exciting boarding stay at Dogtopia, it’s important to ensure your dog adapts well to being back home. While at Dogtopia, your dog received access to unlimited water in their playroom. However, it is still likely they will seem very thirsty upon returning home. This is a common reaction to the excitement of being back at home with their family. Please withhold water from them for the first 30 minutes that they are home. After they have calmed down from the excitement of being home, you should then give them a small bowl of water and continue to monitor their water consumption for the next few hours. Dogs that drink too much water too quickly may lead to vomiting, or in very serious cases, could lead to bloat.

I telecommute from home for a major health insurance company so your pet has lots of companionship. Your dog is not left outside with me. They have access to use the doggy door to get outside whenever they need to go potty. I have a clean background and have 25 years experience in sitting dogs and cats. My home has a fenced in yard, security camera and monitored security system.
How much does it cost for doggie daycare?
Our Oviedo pet resort houses your pet in an air conditioned and heated suite that is 4'X 6'. At the back of that is a door operated by a cable that allows your pet access to a spacious adjoining shaded outside run that is 4'X12'. At the end of this second outside run is a chain link gate that opens into a very large, fenced & grassy play area. This is where your dog has all the fun!
The difference between dog sitting and boarding is the length of stay and attention of care. Dog boarding is like hotel, where it's typically an overnight stay at a kennel where your dog is around other dogs. On the other hand, a dog sitter will watch your pet at either their or your home, or they may just stop by to care for your pets two or three times per day.

Please let them rest. We do not recommend that you take them to the dog park or any other social environment for at least a few days.
Do you need a license for doggy daycare?
Your dog can make a splash in our specifically designed dog pool! We have an easy access beach front entry into our 3 1/2 foot deep center, or they can dive in from the deck, or just frolic in the fountains. Our 1/2 acre leash free backyard also provides great entertainment with chasing tennis balls, running with the other guests, catching a Frisbee or just catching rays on our sundeck.
